How to make a gentle detox bath

Relaxing for the mind, body, and spirit.

If you haven't tried a detox bath yet, then you need to treat yourself! 🛀😉 Not only is it relaxing but it's an easy way to flush out toxins from the body. Whether I feel the sniffles and body aches coming on or I just need some time to relax, this bath is helps me feel so much better.

My favorite gentle detox bath recipe right now is...

1 cup Epsom Salts

1 cup Baking Soda

5 drops Lavender essential oil

5 drops Rosemary essential oil

I like to soak for about 15-20 minutes, once or twice a week, and try to meditate the whole time. No negative comments in my head. No replaying scenarios wishing I would have said or done something different. Just focusing on my breathing and positive affirmations. And sip lots of water afterwards. You want to get the junk out and re-hydrate yourself.

Why these four ingredients?

EPSOM SALTS are high in magnesium and sulfate. It helps to relieve sore muscles and fight inflammation.

BAKING SODA helps neutralize the chemicals in the bath water. It also helps to increase the absorption of minerals.

LAVENDER essential oil is very relaxing and calming and is also great for nourishing the skin.

ROSEMARY essential oil helps to improve memory, ease the digestive system, and relieve aches and pains.

The combination of these two oils together makes my bathroom smell like a spa! It's so dreamy!!

Feel free to add in fewer or more drops of oil depending on your scent preference.

And don't be shy to try new oil combinations! Swap out Lavender for Serenity or Frankincense. Got the sniffles or respiratory issues? Swap out Rosemary for Eucalyptus. The possibilities are endless!
